I am a Writer, Poet, Artist, Musician, Cultural Consultant, Activist, Global Thinker, Blackfeet Warrior (For The Blackfeet), Horse Thief, Dilettante, CDC Counselor, Student of Life, etc, etc, etc…

I am the proud father of four and the proud grandfather of nine, ten pretty soon, maybe eleven, we’ll see. My Indian Name, Big Gun Sees Good, received on Father's Day of 2007 from my brother-in-the-Indian-way, the holder of the Many White Horses Sundance Bundle, Clayton Small/ArrowTopknot, and Tyrone White Grass; and also traditionally named, Boy Who Walks Alone, by my grandfather, Irvin “Chub” Tatsey, at around 8-10 years old.

Interesting, but my last name was found spelled in four different ways throughout my short genealogy search: “TETESEY 90C/TETSEY 92C, 93C, 96C/TATSY 94C/TATSEY B101, B512”

I know that the Tatsey origin is of a Blackfeet word, or phrase, but I'm not sure what it is. It's not English, for sure, although it's presently spelled and pronounced that way.

Throughout all previous relatives, I'm enrolled within the Blackfeet Tribe and have come-out with 51/64th's American Indian blood total, which is 3/64th's over 3/4th's – not too bad.

I have strong opinions and I will be sharing them within this community, of which I’m sure it’s been created for; or am I wrong? We’ll see.

I am 100% against the Blackfeet Constitutional Reform, which is supposedly, “for the Blackfeet People,” but how can it be when every time that I’d ever attended a meeting, “The Crees” (Not my term, but from the mouths of the Blackfeet) and the non-enrolled were primarily-represented, with the “Consultant” apparently in charge and the “Committee Members” apparently-lacking a voice, courage and initiative?

I’m also 100% against “Open Enrollment,” which was the main topic of most behind-the-lines conversations coming from most, if not all, “Constitutional Reform Committee Members,” and the “Consultant” whenever I’d attended a meeting.

Come on folks, smarten-up, because if these two issues become reality, we, as The Blackfeet, lose again! After all, who would they benefit most if successful? Thank about it…
