jeannetta lanae suever I went to the Gathering of Nations. The dancers were beautiful. I looked for Blackfeet flags, T-shirts...but couldn't find any. Thier was one blackfeet artist there and I took a card to order some art later for our new livingroom. I love his/her portrayal of the horses and dragonfly.

jeannetta lanae suever I am now in Farmington New Mexico. I am to marry a Navajo man. OMG! There is still so much prejudice! I am 1/4 or more Native American, 2 of my sons are 3/4 Native American. My skin is white, and my soul belongs to God. There are like white people here that 'hate' or look down on Natives. There are Blacks that hate also. I have run across a few Native women that rezent me for being with a Native man. Ignorance!!!!! People are people and love is love. If God only loved people acording to color, Heaven would be Hell. There are people here that annually celebrate draging Natives down the street by thier hair! I am both white and Native, so I have been blessed with the ability to experiance both sides. The Native people seem to be much more humbling, loving,excepting... Is it like this everywhere? To all you good people of every color, I thank God for your intellegence and the examples you set for our next generations, so we can eventually end this hate.

jeannetta lanae suever Well, I have made it to Colorado now. My life had always been Arizona. I have experienced New Mexico and met my boyfriend there and he has paid my way to Colorado. Its beautiful here. The Rocky Mountains are breath taking. The wild life here is so awsome. I absolutly love the trees and all the scenic views. My bf is comming to get me in a couple weeks and he and his nephew are gonna take me to Six Flags in Denver and the huge swap meet. My friends here in Ft Collins are spoiling me and feeding me well. In Aug I am going to exp South Dakota for the first time. We are gonna go to the bike rally in Sturgis for a couple weeks, check out the concerts and camp. My bf is such an awsome man. I still havn't made it to Montana to check out my heritage, but its on my list and I will some day. If anyone knows of places or things that would be fun, humbeling or of spiritual nature, please share. Life is good and I wish you all well.

jeannetta lanae suever Will some one olease help me? Why do people call us Blackfoot? I belong to Blackfeet Nation, isn't it Blackfeet? Is Blackfoot a Canadian thing, proper English, or are we both?

Thank you, somone had told me that in Canada its Blackfoot but in the US it's Blackfeet. Is there any truth in that?

Originally, we are all Blackfoot. White people are the ones who called us "Blackfeet." In the old language there is no Blackfeet. When white people started caling us Blackfeet, it stuck.... thus you get the modern day "Blackfeet."

jeannetta lanae suever There was the cutest puppy infront of the house. She was the color and build of a rottwieler, but with short legs and floppy long ears like a basset hound. lol! I would of liked to have kept her, but when we had left then came back, she was gone. So tomarrow, my boyfriend is taking me on a trip to the pound. Mabey some special dog/puppy will catch my heart and get a new home.
